What's New with TRACS - Indirect Cost Statement, Text Editor and New Administrative Module

On October 8th 2021, the TRACS development team released some new features and enhancements under the direction of the TRACS Working Group and approved by the WSFR leadership team. System updates are documented on the TRACS Release Notes page. 

Below are some highlights of the latest release:


    • Note: Grants entered into TRACS prior to the update in October 2021, will display the grant information as orange and "incomplete". This can be ignored. However, if you would like to update it, click on the "See status details" link in the upper left of the orange box to see what is missing, then click the "Go" link or the "Edit" button to add the indirect cost statement as a PDF. 



  • The "Text Editor" window is used to format text for a narrative field. A new formatting tool has been added to the text editor toolbar to allow users to change the text color or add a background color to highlight text. 



  • NEW Administrative Module: you will notice a new "Administrative Module" on the home page that is not yet available. The Administrative module will be used by state and insular areas that receive grants to enter, review, certify, and submit the number of paid hunting and fishing license holders on a annual basis. Hunting and fishing license holder figures are used in the calculation of grant funding available to each state and insular area.
